Personal Comments

Since his retirement in 1987, after 20 years of service in the United States Coast Guard, Richard has been a full time real estate agent in the Ellsworth area. He has been active in the Hancock-Washington Board of Realtors and Downeast MLS. President two years in a row of the Multiple Listing Service, he was also voted by his peers Realtor of the Year in 1993. Richard's low key demeanor belies his tenacity and attention to detail when representing buyers and sellers. Many Buyers have commented about his willingness to go “beyond the call of duty” to help them find a new home while appearing to be working quietly in the background.

Extremely interested in genealogy with a reputation of honesty, Richard has served as Treasurer of the Maine Genealogical Society since 1999. He served four terms as President of the Hancock County Genealogical Society. An accomplished author, he has had five articles published in The Maine Genealogist of which he was a Contributing Editor from February 1998 to February 2007. Richard also taught Algebra at Ellsworth Adult Education evenings during the winter months for ten years. Many of his former students have returned to thank him for his dedication and patience with them.

Let Richard's patience, tenacity, honesty and forthrightness work for you as you seek a new home in Maine. Visit his website at http://www.easternmainerealestate.com for more information about Downeast and Eastern Maine and to search listings for that perfect home FOR YOU.
